Aspect Ratio

Aspect Ratio = length divided by height**
Aspect Ratio determines if a piece is machinable (lower postage rates)
A machinable piece must have an Aspect Ratio between 1.3 and 2.5

    i.e. Envelope  4 1/8" x 9.5"
          9.5 divided by 4.125 =  2.303
          Machinable
         
          Envelope 4" x 5"
          5 divided by 4 = 1.25
          Non-Machinable

** length is the dimension parallel to the address
